METHANOL aims to educate and empower travellers about the hazards of consuming harmful alcoholic spirits. Our campaign focuses on promoting awareness of methanol poisoning, advocating for traveller safety, and encouraging avoiding all spirits (in certain countries) to prevent the potential danger of consuming methanol.

METHANOL looks, smells and tastes just like normal alcohol, but it’s a deadly substitute!

Because it’s almost impossible to tell the difference, people often drink it by mistake in counterfeit or contaminated alcohol. Unlike regular alcohol (ethanol), methanol turns into toxic chemicals in the body that can cause blindness or death, even in the smallest amounts.
